Residents of Bridgeland® may have noticed a drilling rig go up near the intersection of Bridgeland® Creek Parkway and Creekside Bend Boulevard. Drilling operations for a water well have begun.
This operation is necessary for Harris County Municipal Utility District 418 (HCMUD 18) to meet water production demands for Bridgeland® residents during our continuous and rapid growth.
To reduce the time the rig is onsite and efficiently construct a superior water well, drilling operations are planned for continuous 24 hours. Drilling operations are expected to be completed around August 10, 2024.
Temporary sound barriers have been installed to reduce both noise and light pollution. Although the impact on area traffic is expected to be minimal, we urge residents to use caution as they travel through and around the site. Lastly, park goers of Parkland Village Park are reminded that this is an active construction site, please do not enter the fenced area.
