With the extension of Summit Point Crossing, there have been numerous accidents at the intersection of Mason Rd. and Summit Point Crossing.
After consulting with local constables, hearing public concerns on social media, and seeing the damage firsthand, HCMUD 489 Directors and BWA Trustees consulted with our engineering firm to confirm deadlines for the installation of traffic lights. We are happy to report construction of the traffic signal at this location is already underway. The currently expected completion date is end of March 2024 (pending weather).
We urge residents to pay attention to changes in traffic patterns and drive cautiously through this area; the intersection is in the vicinity of our local schools and community churches.
