Harris County Water Control & Improvement District 158 (the "District") is a political subdivision of the State of Texas. The District contains approximately 3822.77 acres of land and was created for the primary purpose of providing regional amenity and storm water detention ponds to serve the land within its boundaries. The District also operates a non-potable irrigation system that utilizes water impounded in the ponds to irrigate medians, parks, and other public open spaces.
